Church Tour Dates

They are up on the official site now, so they are fair game. Nothing for people in the southern portions of the country (except southern CA). That kind of sucks because I know it's tough for many people to travel to see them, especially so far.

JUN 10 WED BELLY UP TAVERN * SOLANA BEACH, CA

JUN 11 THU THE ROXY THEATRE * WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA

JUN 12 FRI SLIM'S * SAN FRANCISCO, CA

* early, early morning edit: This could also be called "The Blue State Tour." There isn't a single gig in a state that voted Republican in the 2008 US Presidential Election.

Wow, not to sound ungrateful, but this is a really truncated, short tour. I mean, I live in L.A. so I can see the band at the Roxy, or even San Diego, so I've nothing to bitch about. But you're right...blue states indeed. My poor brother in Atlanta is screwed. Am I to assume this is a money issue? Oddly enough the Roxy was the first place I was supposed to see the Church in 1988 but didn't for a variety of reasons. I ended up seeing them later that year at the Hollywood Palladium.

I don't know whether to pick a show and start making travel plans, or wait a week to see if they fill in gaps with southern shows. Dilemmas.

Aye, I'm hoping they add more dates too. My brother-in-law from KY likes to come to Atlanta to see them and stay at our place but it looks like the tradition may be off this time around.

OMG, that could be the reason they're not coming to AZ... we (not me) voted Republican. But McCain is our senator, how else did they think this state would vote? Morons.
