House pics
I decided the house probably would never look as good as it does empty, so I'm putting pics of it up that way. I'm not much of a decorator.
Anyway, it will be a great place for us.
I bet the cats will love looking out these doors! Might make it tricky to get out them without a cat or two escaping though.

The house is amazing! The floors are gorgeous and I love the doors and the upper room with the slanted roof. I'm really happy for you and Diane. And you have a fireplace - I'm so jealous! Not that I need one out here, but I've always wanted one. Enjoy - you deserve it!

that's a very nice house!! like denise the first thing i noticed was the floors. and that HUGE kitchen.

Thanks! I love the floors too -- I was actually amazed at how common wood floors in houses are here, even at low prices. I suppose a lot of that has to do with the age of the house -- we looked in neighbourhoods where most of the houses were built in the late 40's through late 60's (this one was built in 1950).
And I think I'm now going to use the upstairs room as my bedroom and use one of the downstairs bedrooms as my office and storage area, etc. for the art. I can shut off a downstairs bedroom completely thus keeping the cats and dog out which will be much better for the art. Plus I think that upstairs room is pretty cool for a bedroom. :-)
Now I just have to get all my crap moved over there.
